BBQ Cook-off, Basket Auction, & Sock Hop Dance
OCTOBER 26, 2024 @ 6:00 PM
- BBQ cook-off beginning after the 5:00 PM Mass.
- Basket Auction begins at 10:00 AM through end of cook-off.
- Old-fashioned Sock Hop with DJ Alex Rossy and Emcee/Dance Instructor Donna Oas Along with the cook-off.
MORE DETAILS:- Basket Auction and Sock Hop will be held in FLC. Approximately 250 baskets will be available for auction or immediate purchase.
- "Basketeers" needed beginning October 14 at 10:00 AM through 6:00 PM to create the baskets for auction.
- Price: BBQ will be $10pp/max $25 per family. Basket Auction and Sock Hop are free of charge. (Ticket sale details to come)
- Volunteers are needed to execute details surrounding the BBQ cook-off.

BBQ COOK-OFF COMPETITION
- Sign-ups: Start creating your team to sign-up for the cook-off.
- Contestants may contact the co-chairs for the BBQ Benton Hodges at [email protected] or Fred Mitchell at [email protected] to sign up and/or volunteer.
- Registration deadline: Monday, October 21, 2024.
CONTEST RULES & REMINDERS
- Contestants will be provided: a 10x10 pop-up tent designated booth for cooking/smoking BBQ, plates/napkins for tasting, and a table for serving.
- Sampling cups and serving utensils will be provided.
- Electricity will be provided.
- Signs will be provided to teams to note the type of meat and spice level
- Future emails will include set-up details.
- Turn in this form to the parish office or place it in the collection.
