Our Faith, Our Family, Our Future

A Campaign of the Advancement Foundation for St. Francis of Assisi

After gathering and analyzing data from our recent planning study, representatives from the Steier Group reported their findings to the pastoral and finance councils. The feedback did not come as a surprise, and the proposed project received favorable response. As indicated in the numbers below, there is significant support within the community for a major fundraising effort to accomplish those goals.

  • 81% of respondents are in favor of a capital campaign.
  • 85% of respondents indicated they will make a personal gift to the campaign.
  • 113 respondents indicated a willingness to serve as a volunteer.

St. Francis of Assisi is excited to be moving forward with a capital campaign to address the following capital projects:

  • Renovate the Family Life Center
  • Refurbish the Sanctuary
  • Address maintenance needs including bathroom renovations, adding confessionals, a counseling room, additional office space, and resurfacing the parking lot
  • Construct a new formation building

The decision to proceed with a campaign was a collective choice made by the parish council, finance council, and Fr. Flynn. Ultimately though, the decision came from you, our church family, who demonstrated support in the planning study.

In the coming weeks and months, you will learn much more about the campaign and the different ways you can help the cause. Details will be posted in the bulletin, announced at masses, and available on this webpage. If you are interested in volunteering, please email us at campaign@sfatx.org. In the meantime, please pray for the church leaders and volunteers who will work diligently to ensure a successful outcome.

God bless,

Fr. James Flynn
Pastor

Capital Campaign Prayer

Lord Jesus, create in us a new heart. Pour your Spirit upon us so that we may do the will of the Father. Nourish us with your Eucharist and heal us of sin. May our efforts to serve the parish of St. Francis of Assisi be a sign of our love for you.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us. Amen.

PLEASE NOTE: The Planning Study Fact Sheet only provided estimates on the project costs and those will likely change as the parish proceeds with the campaign and architectural/design plans are finalized. The annual report for fiscal year ending June 30, 2017.
