In August of 2023, Bishop Olson blessed our new Holy Family Oratory, which was designed for prayer and Eucharistic Adoration. The oratory is located on the East side of the property with access from Wildwood Street. It is open daily for prayer from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM. An access code will be required after 5:30 PM so please contact the church office.
Everyone is welcome to adore the Blessed Sacrament, and drop-ins are encouraged to come by the oratory. If you wish, you can check-in at the kiosk as a guest. This will help us understand our attendance patterns for further expansion of Eucharistic Adoration.
The exposition of Jesus in the monstrance leaves Christ vulnerable and must be properly attended at ALL times. Since He is exposed out of love for us, it is our duty to make sure He is protected. For that reason, at least one person must be in the Oratory while He is exposed. For safety reasons, we schedule at least two people for every hour.
Wear whatever is comfortable, but be conscious of the presence of the Lord.
During the day until 8:30 pm, everyone will have access to the Oratory, as they do now. After 8:30 pm, once the doors are locked, entry is allowed using a PIN code pad. Video surveillance will also cover the inside of the building and the entrance. Also, because at least two adorers are required at all times, there should be no situation where anyone is alone.
