SFA Grapevine Chesterton Society Meeting
March 18 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 6:00 pm on day Third of the month, repeating indefinitely
Join us for dinner, beverages, and discussion
The St. Francis of Assisi Grapevine chapter of the American Chesterton Society meets every 3rd Monday at the Big Fish Restaurant in downtown Grapevine from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you decide to attend this or future meetings, please send a message to Chris Hunt at email@example.com. It is important that we have an attendance count for the restaurant.
We are both men and women, and we boast a wide spread of ages from the 20’s and up; most of us are Catholic, but there are members of other faiths too. Participants are asked to read a Chesterton essay before attending. The meeting features a discussion of the essay and fellowship; and you can order dinner and beverages from the Big Fish menu.
G K Chesterton was a British philosopher, author, critic, historian, theologian, dedicated disciple—and convert—to our Catholic faith. He has been called an apostle of common sense and the prince of paradox, and in the early 20th century he foresaw and wrote about the same issues we struggle with in the 21st century: social injustice, materialism, moral relativism, the culture of death; and assaults on religion, the family, and human dignity.
