St. Francis of Assisi Annual Community Fest

St. Francis Community Fest
Saturday, October 7, 2017

Join St. Francis of Assisi for our annual Community Fest, set for Saturday, October 7. This event will benefit our very own St. Francis of Assisi Outreach and The Grapevine Animal Shelter. The day will include activities for families, including games, a petting zoo, the boogie woogie choo choo, and bingo. There will also be a garage sale, book nook, a pet blessing and pet adoptions. The evening will end with our annual Dinner Auction, which includes a live auction and lots of silent auction baskets.

Volunteer to Help with Fest

Community Fest can’t be successful without the support of volunteers like you. You can sign-up to assist at the link at below. Don’t think that someone else will do it, because that’s what “someone else” is thinking too. Encourage your children by volunteering as a family!

Dinner Auction

As part of our annual Community Fest, we have a Dinner Auction, one of the major fundraisers for our St. Francis Outreach. The night includes drinks, appetizers, dinner, live music, silent auction basket bidding, and a live auction. We will also draw the Raffle winners at 8:30pm. The cost is $25/person with a $50/family max (same household/immediate family). Tickets are available online below, in the Narthex after all the masses until Fest, or in the Parish office.

New This Year – ONLINE AUCTION BIDDING!

This year, we are excited to roll-out a new way to participate in our Community Fest Dinner Auction — online auction bidding! Beginning Thursday, September 28 through Thursday, October 5, many popular Fest Auction items will be available for both online only bidding and online to live bidding. This is a great way to preview the items and participate in the Fest Dinner Auction, especially if you can’t be present on Oct 7. Some of the most popular Live Auction Items, including Feed Our Family, Parking & Pews for Christmas and Easter Masses, and Dinner with Father Flynn, will all be included in the Online Auction. While bidding is not currently open, and more items will be added over the coming weeks, we invite you to preview the Online Auction at the link below. Mark your calendar to start bidding on Sept 28!

Benefiting St. Francis of Assisi Outreach & The Grapevine Animal Shelter

The Mission of St. Francis Outreach is to connect the hearts, hands, and efforts of our parish community to meet the basic necessities of our brother and sisters in need. St. Francis of Assisi Outreach Ministry was first organized in the parish in 1979 as an outgrowth from the original St. Vincent de Paul conference. Many families are assisted through these resources. Through the efforts of many volunteers and the generosity of the parish family, the Thrift Store and food pantry have developed into one of the outstanding emergency assistance centers in the Grapevine area today. In fact, while many other assistance programs in the city are limited in their monthly assistance budget, SFA Outreach prides itself helping every family that comes through their door. We always find funds to assist those in need within our community.

Last year, our Outreach provided over $150,000 in assistance to 1,400+ families in need!

The Grapevine Animal Shelter is prepared to help you better manage your pets, to answer your questions about pet requirements, and to help reduce animal concerns in the City of Grapevine. The Animal Shelter is always in need of generous donations. Currently their services include animal adoption, pick-up of stray animals within the community, feeding and care for stray and unwanted animals, rabies and bite investigation, educational programs, response to wildlife complaints, lost animal pick-up, cruelty investigation, and so much more.
