In the Gospel of Mark, the first words of Jesus are an invitation to Metanoia – repentance, change, and conversion.
Everyone, no matter where we are in our faith journey, is invited to a deeper conversion. Metanoia is not a one-time event; rather, it is a continual process of turning away from the things of the world, from lies and sin and discovering a deeper union with Christ.
WHO: Seekers! Explorers! Anyone 18+ looking for deeper meaning and purpose.
WHAT: Journey with Jesus is a free 9-part series featuring Metanoia with Fr. Dave Pivonka, TOR, President of Franciscan University and founder of The Ministry of the Wild Goose, who leads us on a journey with Christ into conversion.
Join us for the most important journey of our lives, a journey of grace, hope, repentance, and transformation.
WHEN: Sundays starting Feb 20, 2022 from 5:45pm – 7:30pm; series ends May 1st (Off March 13th & April 17th)
WHERE: First session is in Room 115 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church
Contact Tim Jara at [email protected] if you have any questions.
What happens at each session?
Each session begins with dinner and is followed by a Metanoia video about life and Jesus. After the video, there is time for discussion in a small group of friendly peers.
Sessions will take place most Sundays, starting February 20, and will run for a total of 9 weeks with the invitation to continue meeting with your small group if desired.
Tim Jara, our Director of Evangelization & Catechesis, is SO EXCITED to host this series! We hope you will join us!
