Lent is a journey, an encounter and a time of purification. We’ve been baptized, but we still complain. We find ourselves thinking with nostalgia about certain sins and temptations. Our faith wavers; our hope bends; our love wilts. We might even be tempted to blame God for our struggles with sin. But in the midst of fasting and struggles and doubts, God provides sustenance. He is the rock from which issues the gift of living water. He sits and waits for us to come to the water-- that is, to Him.

Directed by Father Artemio Patiño. Originally from Celaya Guanajuato, he was ordained in Celaya in 1997 and has been in the Diocese of Dallas for 8 years. He is currently in the parish of Saint Clare of Assisi, Dallas. // Dirigida por el Padre Artemio Patiño. Originario de Celaya Guanajuato, fue ordenado en Celaya en 1997 y lleva 8 años en la Diócesis de Dallas. Actualmente se encuentra en la parroquia de Santa Clara de Asís, Dallas.

MARCH 1 - Family Lenten Prayer & Activity

6:30-7:30 PM @ St. Francis of ASsisi Parish Hall

The evening will start with Stations of the Cross for children, and then families with children PreK-5th grade will enjoy Lenten snacks and assembling a Lenten home prayer garland used to help mark the holy days and weeks of Lent from Ash Wednesday to Holy Week. The garland can combine with various prayer, fasting and almsgiving as families prepare and anticipate for the passion, death, and resurrection of Christ! A fee will offering will be collected at the event. Please sign-up in advanced. //  La velada comenzará con el Vía Crucis para niños, y luego las familias con niños de preescolar a quinto grado disfrutarán de refrigerios de Cuaresma y armarán una guirnalda de oración en casa de Cuaresma que se utiliza para ayudar a marcar los días y semanas santos de Cuaresma, desde el Miércoles de Ceniza hasta la Semana Santa. ¡La guirnalda se puede combinar con diversas oraciones, ayunos y limosnas mientras las familias se preparan y anticipan la pasión, muerte y resurrección de Cristo! Se cobrará una tarifa por la ofrenda en el evento. Por favor regístrese con anticipación.
