Musical Encounters

Join us for a Musical Encounter with God in the Narthex one Sunday a month.

Come enjoy sacred music as a form of prayer and a source of joy.

These concerts will be celebrated once a month in our parish  Narthex at 6:00 pm. The concerts will be performed by musicians from our Musical Ministry and special guests. We will gather in the parish hall after 4:30 pm Mass and enjoy some appetizers and drinks while we share and prepare for the evening. We appreciate that you RSVP so we can be prepared and welcome everybody the best we can.

As a liturgical composer and Paulist priest, Father Ricky Manalo said in an interview: “Music is one of the most powerful symbols and artistic forms to inspire people’s imagination…to bring people back to God, through the nuances of the Gospel message.

Music is a gift. It’s a wonderful gift. We offer back this gift to our Creator also as a gift by our singing and praising. In the Catechism of the Catholic Church is the familiar quote by Saint Augustine: “He who sings prays twice.” Music, with our voices singing, our ears listening, and hands creating music, enables us to physically express the spiritual joy of our heart. Music has the power to bring the mind, body, and spirit in unison as we reach out to God.

We believe that music is one of the most important tools for welcoming them back, drawing them in and also initiating new encounters, inviting others.” This way we want to share with all of our parishioners this welcoming experience to the senses and the soul
