St. Francis of Assisi Outreach

The Mission of St. Francis of Assisi Outreach is to connect the hearts, hands, and efforts of our parish community to meet the basic necessities of our brother and sisters in need. St. Francis of Assisi Outreach Ministry was first organized in the parish in 1979 as an outgrowth from the original St. Vincent de Paul conference. The food pantry also has been an integral part of the assistance provided by St. Francis Outreach ministry.  Many families are assisted through these resources. Through the efforts of many volunteers and the generosity of the parish family, the Thrift Store. and food pantry have developed into one of the outstanding emergency assistance centers in the Grapevine area today.

Due to the ever-changing situation with the coronavirus pandemic, our St. Francis Outreach is operating under modified hours and procedures. See the schedule details below. For the most updated information on how St. Francis parish is responding to the COVID situation, click here

Due to the generosity of our parish community and the limited space of our food pantry area, we are limiting donations to the items listed below at this time. They can be dropped off at the Parish Office during Business Hours. You can also make a monetary donation online directly to our Outreach Fund.

  • Shaving Cream
  • Dish soap
  • Laundry Detergent
  • $20-30 Wal-Mart, Target or grocery store Gift Cards (Physical gift cards that are brought to the parish; Walmart preferred because they can also be used for gas)

We are limited in the amount of clothing or household item donations we can accept for our thrift store at this time. If you are doing spring cleaning at your house and would like to donate items for the thrift store, we ask that you contact Mary at 817-488-5444 to discuss Outreach’s current needs and to set a drop-off of your items.

SFA Outreach has set a goal to provide food for Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to many families in need. With your help, we will organize food donations and prepare baskets.
