Join us for Adoration
We are blessed with the awesome opportunity to worship Jesus through Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament twice a week at St. Francis Church. In Eucharistic Adoration, the Eucharistic Host (the Body of Jesus) is placed in a gold monstrance to be adored. Adoration occurs Wednesday from 8:00 am – 5:45 pm and Friday from 9:00 am – 5:45 pm in the chapel, and is open to anyone.
Virtual Stations of the Cross
The Stations of the Cross, from the original church building of St. Francis in Grapevine, were reintroduced into the Nave of the Church with the renovations completed in Fall 2019. We invite you to pray virtually with our beautiful Stations, using the meditations and prayers written by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI (then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger) for the Way of the Cross at the Colosseum on Good Friday of 2005.
Attend Taizè Prayer
Prayer in the spirit of the Taizè Community is a meditative form of common prayer. Gathered in the presence of Christ, we pray and sing in candle light allowing the mystery of God to become tangible through the beauty of simplicity. This contemplative prayer expresses a basic reality of faith that can quickly be grasped by the intellect and then gradually penetrates the whole being.
Join our Family Rosaries
“Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world.” – Blessed Pope Pius IX
Join the St. Francis Knights of Columbus organization 30 minutes before each Weekend Mass for a communal Family Rosary. This is a special opportunity for you to set aside some time each week to pray with your family and other members of St. Francis.
Pray for Vocations
Before each mass, we join together to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life. We encourage you to use the prayer (below) within your personal prayer time as well.
Prayer for Vocations
God our Father, You made each of us to use our gifts in the body of Christ. We ask that You inspire young people whom You call to the priesthood and consecrated life to courageously follow Your will. Send workers into Your great harvest so the Gospel is preached, the poor are served with love, the suffering are comforted, and your people are strengthened by the sacraments. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
